The second pregnancy countdown widget on this web page is the “Pregnancy Calendar Widget” (by Fortunebaby.com). The steps to follow for using this pregnancy countdown timer are almost identical to the steps described above.

Instead of entering a ‘Heading Label’, however, pregnant women have to select one of ten ‘Mom Styles’ (4 Sexy Mom styles, 4 Business Mom styles, an Elegant Mom and a Stylish Mom style).

The sexy moms and the business moms are exactly the same; the only difference is skin and hair color. I think the stylish mom is black and the elegant mom is white (or vice versa). The next step is for pregnant women to enter their names, then the Last Menstrual Period (LMP) month, day and year. That is all that needs to be done before clicking on ‘Get Widget”. The rest of the process is identical to the one described above.

The design of this pregnancy countdown calendar is very different. An image of the ‘Sexy, Stylish … Mom’ appears in the center of a square over a baby blue background with the mother’s name beneath it. Above the image, pregnancy information is displayed in flashing sentences (a sentence appears and is very quickly replaced by another). The information given is:

• I’m X weeks and X days pregnant
• Only X week and X days until my baby is born
• I’m at my X semester
• X % of my pregnancy is completed

While this pregnancy countdown widget is certainly more colorful and ‘fun’, it does not provide any important pregnancy information and it too makes no allowances for multiple pregnancies.
